
Lourenço Monteiro (born July 16, 2003, in Porto, Portugal) is a Portuguese racing driver who has demonstrated remarkable versatility and success in both endurance and touring car championships. Since beginning his competitive career in karting, Monteiro has quickly progressed through the ranks of motorsport, achieving significant results in national and international competitions.
Monteiro made his mark in the Super Seven by Toyo Tires championships, competing in the Caterham Super Seven 420R from 2021 to 2023. In his debut season in 2021, he was awarded Best Rookie, showcasing his potential in the highly competitive series. Over the next two seasons, he continued to develop as a front-running driver, securing a total of 9 podium finishes and 1 victory across the Iberian and European championships.
In 2023, Monteiro was selected for the prestigious FPAK Junior Team, where he competed in the Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade. In the four races he participated in, he delivered a dominant performance, winning three out of four races and securing pole position in all of them, further cementing his reputation as one of Portugal’s most promising young drivers.
Monteiro’s success reached new heights in 2024, when he competed in the Ultimate Cup Series, driving a Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo. His strong performances across the season led him to be crowned Ultimate Cup UCTC European Champion while also finishing as Ultimate Cup UCS3 European Vice-Champion. His adaptability and racecraft in endurance racing highlighted his ability to compete at a high level in GT racing.
With a proven track record in both sprint and endurance racing, Monteiro has established himself as a rising star in Portuguese motorsport, with a promising future ahead in professional racing.
